PLANT OPERATORS
JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties
This position reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the batching operation and assist with the scheduling of deliveries.
Oversee the daily operation of a ready-mix batch plant.
Responsible for ensuring the daily, weekly and monthly reporting and record keeping requirements and completed as required.
Responsible for operating the batch plant to produce concrete according to specification and ensure driver efficiency and on time delivery.
Duties may also include operating a loader and performing plant maintenance/repairs
Qualifications:
Proficient in reading, writing, math and operational logic
Have extensive product, customer and equipment knowledge
Excellent communication skills
Excellent personal safety record
Able to handle many/varied details in a pressure situation
Self-starter with a very high standard of expectation of himself/herself and those with who he/she works
Positive attitude toward other employees, customers and supervisors
Excellent work ethic - punctuality, accuracy and attendance
Ability to work various hours including overtime
Pass required physical examination and drug screens
3 years of experience as batch plant operator or heavy equipment operator
High school degree or equivalent
Requires a thorough understanding of the concrete manufacturing process
